Ezra – He is the divine temple rebuilder (Ezra 3-5, John 2:19)
Nehemiah – He is the guide of the remnant of God’s people (Nehemiah 1:3; 2:5)
Esther – He is our providential protector (Esther 4:14)
Job – He is our advocate to plead our case to God, and the redeemer (Job 9:33)
Psalm – He is the one who is crucified, but not left in Hades (Psalm 16:10)
Proverbs – He is the wisdom of God, and the founder of the Earth (Proverbs 9:10)
Ecclesiastes – He is the one who will bring everything into judgement (Ecclesiastes 12:14)
Song of Solomon – He is the best example we have of true love (Entire context of the book)
Isaiah – He is the virgin-born suffering servant (Isaiah 7:14; Isaiah 53)
Jeremiah – He is the branch (Jeremiah 23:5)
Lamentations – He is the man of sorrows who weeps over Jerusalem (Entire context of the book)
Ezekiel – He is God’s servant and God’s prince (Ezekiel 34:23-24)
Daniel – He is king over the kingdom that will never be destroyed (Daniel 2:44)
Hosea – He is the forgiving and redeeming husband to the unfaithful wife (Hosea 1:2)
Joel – He is the savior of those who call on God (Joel 2:32)
Amos – He is the rescuer of Judah (Entire context of the book)
Obadiah – He is the deliverer of Mount Zion (Obadiah 1:17)
Jonah – He is the 3 days Jonah spends in the fish (Matthew 12:40)
Micah – He is the blessing of Bethlehem (Micah 5:2)
Nahum – He is the stronghold in the day of wrath (Nahum 1:7)
Habakkuk – He is the justifier of those who live by faith (Habakkuk 2:4)
Zephaniah – He is the channel through whom all nations can worship (Zephaniah 3)

Zechariah – He is the one betrayed for 30 pieces of silver (Zechariah 11:12-13)
Malachi – He is the one whose forerunner is Elijah (Malachi 4:5-6)

I am not really good at some of the meanings…but i love my Saviour and wish i understood more…I read these and want a better relationship with Jesus….am i not doing something right? I am a Christian who would die for him and i will accept my faults buf i try to be better and follow His ways…why do i feel like i am not doing enough…..
Cathy, God loves you and if you’ve accepted Christ as your Savior you are absolutely doing it right! Truly, it’s not about what you do but about your heart–which is clearly seeking after the Lord. Is there a Christian in your life who could mentor you? Maybe a Bible study or small group you could join at church? Having people around you who can help you with your spiritual walk is such a blessing. God is a perfect, loving father whose love isn’t dependant on how much you do or how hard you work! He loves His daughter and He sees your efforts and your desire to be close.

Jesus said i didnt come to do away with the old Testament but i came to fulfill it! so thank for those Revelations!
With so much evidence of the foretelling of Jesus then why do the Jews who faithfully believe and studiously study in the first 6 books of the Bible not consider or believe that Jesus IS the messiah??
I also never knew that Jesus is mentioned in every book, including the Old Testament. Thanks for for enlightening all of us through our journey of life.
